Les chiots sont en patrouille, en route vers la savane où ils retrouvent les fans de photos de safari Cap’n Turbot et son cousin François Turbot. Les campeurs sont réveillés en pleine nuit par un intrus qui est en fait un bébé éléphant perdu, Gilda. La Pat’Patrouille est appelée en mission pour retrouver la maman ou le papa de Gilda et rassembler la famille. Quand ils trouvent la maman, ils ont un autre sauvetage à effectuer pour la sortir d’un profond ravin.
